Six a.m. of our first morning in Bali. The family’s still asleep, but I’ve been up since four am because it’s still really 4pm in my body. Not to mention our rooster neighbors who decided that 5:00am would be a good time to start crowing. I immediately went out onto our porch that overlooks one of those infinity pools which overlooks rice fields, palm trees, banana trees and a beautifully landscaped garden. Sat in a large bamboo chair, still exhausted from the travels, but excited like nobody’s business, like a kid on Christmas morning. I have been waiting for this moment. I watched the sun rise over the rice fields. Speechless. Happy.
We made it here.
